This will be a busy week. 6th graders will be working on the outline for their Natural Disasters research paper. The final outline will be due to me (via a shared Google Doc) by the end of the day on Monday, February 9th.
Students will be working on a project in which they will be researching ocean currents and prevailing winds.
There will be a quiz on Friday, February 6th. This will be a fill-in-the-blank quiz. There will be a word bank provided. Student study resources for the quiz can be accessed HERE (link).
We will continue to study weather and climate this week. Student resources for the week can be found here (LINK). The quiz for this section will be Monday, February 2nd. This will be a fill-in-the-blank quiz. Thanks and have a great weekend!
If you are in Freeport tomorrow morning (Saturday, January 10th), please consider stopping by the Applebee's Restaurant on Route 26 for a pancake breakfast. We will be serving pancakes, sausage or bacon, and juice or coffee from 8am-10am. Cost is $5 for each breakfast and the profits will go towards fundraising for our 8th graders who are going to Washington, DC over spring break.
Please contact me if you have any questions or comments.
